Colby & Aubree's Wedding Day at the home the bride grew up in
When I first was asked to be apart of Colby & Aubree's wedding day as their wedding planner, I knew it was going to be unique and fun. They wanted to get married at the home that Aubree grew up in and I instantly thought of the movie "Father Of The Bride". How special to go through wedding planning and your wedding day in a place with so many memories with your family and friends. The couple also have a love for legos. Aubree described this as an obsession so she much include lego into their wedding day in some way. Well they definitely achieved that. One aspect they included legos was their "guest book". They had every guest create their own lego guy or gal and snap a photo to include in the wedding hashtag. Second they built Lego Disney Castle to put on display with their own custom Lego Bride and Groom since Disneyland is where Colby proposed to Aubree. And third they had little bowls of lego pieces at each tables to guests can build anything their imagination could think of. They even ordered custom colors to go with their color theme of the wedding day.
So everyone hopes for no rain on their wedding day. Well Aubree and Colby had no luck in this wish or did they have all the luck. Because they do say that if it rains on your wedding day that brings you luck. We did have to move their ceremony very last minute into the tent where their reception was set up. Although it wasn't our original plan or their original vision for their ceremony it still came together beautifully and was one of the most heartfelt ceremonies I have witnessed.
I had so much fun working on this wedding and with this couple and I am so happy to share Ken Kienow's photos that he captured throughout the day.
